About the Provider

Sharalyn has been passionate about providing breastfeeding support and car seat safety since her oldest was born over 2 decades ago. Her pediatric and mother/baby rotation in clinicals for her BSN were her favorite classes in college.

• She began her RN career in pediatrics.
• She has been a La Leche League leader since 2013, helping moms achieve their goals for breastfeeding their babies.
• She earned her Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification in 2014, helping countless families ride safely in their vehicles.
• After retiring as an RN after 20 years, she became a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) in November of 2024.

La Leche League (In Office)

Open, free group meeting for mother-to-mother support. Second Friday of every month at 6:30 PM.

Initial Lactation Evaluation (Home Visit)

Sharalyn will visit you in the comfort of your own home. A full breastfeeding exam will be completed along with support for positioning, latching, and any concerns you may be experiencing.

Follow up Appointment (In Office)

For those who have already had an initial evaluation, a follow up appointment is recommended to evaluate how things have changed since the first visit. Babies grow and change quickly, so the breastfeeding relationship can also change quickly. Once the initial plan is in place, there may be new concerns that arise and will be addressed in this appointment.

Prenatal Consultation (In Office)

If you have previously had difficulty breastfeeding or have a diagnosis that may affect your ability to produce breast milk, a prenatal consultation can be beneficial. We will discuss your health history, prenatal information, breastfeeding goals, and any previous breastfeeding experiences. Then we will discuss any specific concerns you might have and customize a plan for the first days and weeks after baby is born.

Pumping/Return to Work Consultation (In Office)

Have questions about pumping or returning to work? During this visit, we will go over your feeding goals, come up with a pumping plan, and answer any questions you may have regarding pumping and/or returning to work.

Car Seat Check (Home Visit)

Sharalyn will come to you, whether at home or a neutral location. Flat, level ground is a requirement, but we can find a location that will work for you. She checks for recalls, expirations, and appropriateness of the seat for your child and vehicle. Then we go through installation of the seat in your vehicle and buckling of your child while showing you where to find specifics in your manual. You will feel confident in installing your seat by the end of the appointment.
